  • Aqua Tots
Indoor pools heated to a comfortable 90 degrees, Aqua-Tots Swim Schools' experienced instructors pass their aquatic knowledge onto younger generations. Before taking to the waters, the team sorts prospective swimmers between the ages of 4 months to 12 years into one of eight swim levels along with similarly skilled and aged peers. Instructors work alongside the parents of infants and toddlers to practice water safety skills and other swimming fundamentals such as blowing bubbles and singing whale songs. More advanced swimmers, meanwhile, master different strokes and techniques, and instructors incorporate more advanced concepts as their students progress through the levels. Parents can rest assured that their children are in good hands—each of Aqua-Tot's instructors have completed 32 hours in the company's Lessons for Life training program, and a rigorous Water Safety Instructor exam. In addition to swimming lessons, Aqua-Tots offers and hosts a number of other programs including Adaptive Aquatics programs, water therapy sessions designed specifically for children with special needs.

  • Bahama Beach Waterpark
Bahama Beach Waterpark draws visitors to its cooling oasis filled with soaking attractions. Visitors go to the park, which is just a 10-minute trip from downtown Dallas, to lounge in inner tubes as they bob on the serene current of the Calypso Cooler Lazy River. Children join in the action and race through the nearby Coconut Cove, a rainforest-style playground with rope ladders, slides, and a 1,000-gallon dumping bucket. Two intertwined slides, the Riptide Slide and Bahama Bullet, descend from a 45-foot-high platform, and the nearby Bermuda Triangle's trio of open and closed slides deposits riders into a high-speed splashdown. Bahama Bob's Island Eatery crafts a full menu of sandwiches, burgers, and snacks for diners, and the Island Traders store dispenses necessities such as sunscreen, locker rentals, and emergency rubber duckies. The park also offers party-sized seating, including group pavilions and private cabanas.

  • Camp Our Way
Kickball. Archery. A nice swim in the lake. As you get older, you sometimes leave the simple pleasures of summer camp behind. Fortunately, the counselors at Camp Our Way are here to make sure you remember. At this all-inclusive, 21+ adults-only sleep-away camp, campers relive the carefree summers of the youth with the perks of adulthood. That means party buses to and from camp, booze instead of bug juice, and deluxe cabins with many of the comforts of home. Before you pack your rucksack, read on to learn more about this grown-up take on the kids' summer classic: Start the day right: Daily breakfast buffets ditch the typical camp fare for scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and chilly mimosas. They also serve full-course lunches, s'more roasts, and plenty of other eats and drinks. Stay active: Just like at kid-size summer camp, your days will be filled with activities; the schedule includes everything from slip 'n' slide parties and dodgeball to hiking and color wars. Crafts: Want to learn a trade? Check out courses in painting, sculpting, or even organic soap making. Bust a move at the campfire dance, aided by spirits at the open bar. Other alcohol-friendly activities include flip-cup contests and mixology lessons, where campers learn why a mixture of Coke, Hawaiian Punch, Mountain Dew, and rootbeer doesn't actually taste good.
