Air Tours LA sends its patrons soaring into the airspace above Los Angeles for reasons that range from the beauteous views only available on high to the in-flight instruction necessary to teach the next generation of pilots. A fixed-wing single-engine airplane becomes the gravity-scoffing vantage point from which passengers take in the panoramic views during any of the eight different scenic flights. Depending on the route chosen, passengers can point out Santa Monica Pier, marvel at Downtown LA’s twinkling skyline, and pose like Orion for stargazers at Griffith Observatory. The squadron's Discovery Flights hand control of the steering column over to the passengers, allowing them to enjoy the freedom of flight while an experienced pilot oversees their safety.
