Pittsburgh Activities

You don’t have to look very far to find fun, family-friendly Pittsburgh activities. Head over to the National Aviary to see birds, including bald eagles, scarlet ibis, and golden-breasted starlings. Or visit one of the 15+ Pittsburgh museums—whether you love history, art, or science, you’ll find an easily accessible museum to suit your tastes. There are always plenty of things to do in Pittsburgh year-round, but each June, the city holds the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival. Live music, art installations and demonstrations, and markets fill the 10-day schedule. Plus, local food trucks and restaurants prepare their fare to sell at the event.
