Kickboxing classes introduce students to muay thai kickboxing, also known as the Science of Eight Limbs. The martial art concentrates on striking with eight points of contact—hands, shins, elbows, and knees. Classes also devote time to conditioning exercises, including shadowboxing, running, jumping rope, bag training, sparring, and weight resistance. To view a class schedule, click here.

Budokan Martial Arts Academy

The instructors at Budokan Martial Arts Academy adopt a holistic approach to fitness and martial arts, with a philosophy rooted in moral character, ethics, sportsmanship, fair play, and nutrition. Though they share this common goal, the instructors’ resumés couldn’t be more diverse—instructors include a Vietnam combat veteran, a Gracie-trained Brazilian jujitsu coach, and trainers who specialize in judo, tae kwon do, and muay thai kickboxing. They hold group classes for adults and kids, as well as personal-training programs that evaluate each fighter as an individual to develop their strengths and weaknesses.
