The owners of Hush Hush Bang Bang have provided a fun, eco-friendly work environment for their team of stylists for nearly a decade. While designing and building their salon, Kara and Wade incorporated recycled and reclaimed materials to create a functional and convivial atmosphere established on sustainable practices. The space now welcomes guests into an airy environment accented by lime green and vibrant florals, invigorating minds as hair techs invigorate manes with cut, color, and extension services. The stylists stay up to date with tress trends and new styling techniques by taking regular "field trips" to industry classes, and they use a mix of high-end and vegan hair products to accommodate all clients regardless of which shampoo they prefer to squeeze onto a baked potato.
In an effort to give back to the planet and the community, stylists actively participate in recycling and water-saving initiatives and volunteer with the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

What is one of your signature services? How is it performed?
One of my most popular services is my highlights. Many people in Southern California want to look like they were born blond. By using a combination of highlights and lowlights, I can brighten someone up in a way that looks natural and beautiful without washing them out or damaging the hair.
Do you offer your customers any extra perks?
Our salon offers complimentary coffee, tea, and wine. We also offer free wifi and tvs and magazines. We're easily accessible via the freeway and PCH, and we have tons of street parking as well as a large parking lot behind the salon.
Do you or your staff have any special certifications or degrees?
I have a California cosmetology license as well as certification in Hot Heads hair extensions.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
I've been a stylist since 2000 and have worked in Southern and Northern California, where I owned a Salon.
Art, fashion, and architecture all influence the styles hairdressers create inside Artkitëks Hair Studio. Owner Jeff Stump leads his team of stylists as they craft 'dos based on primary shapes and reference points on clients' heads, which results in looks that blend classic and progressive hairdressing techniques ranging from conditioning and highlights to extensions and Brazilian blowouts. The studio itself follows a minimalistic approach that has artistic touches. Sleek, unframed mirrors lean against stark white walls, and wooden storage boxes at each workstation seem to float on the wall by command of the on-staff magician.
The prestigious hair academies of TONI&GUY employ a learn-by-doing approach, giving students a chance to apply cutting-edge techniques that shape their careers upon graduation through daily hands-on experience.
After hundreds of hours training on mannequins, students move on to real heads in each fully operating salon, cutting and styling the hair of patrons as well as whipping up their own dyes for highlights and all-over color. Instructor supervision provides further education and ensures standard Toni&Guy quality.
