Hy Tea's experienced beverage brewers invite pairs to relax in their teahouse for Hy-Tea Time, an experience based on British High Tea that blends hot beverages with a variety of edibles. Light flickers across patrons' faces as they chat by the main room's fireplace, where hands warm around cups filled with gourmet blends of tea or the rich flavours of strong americano coffee. Blooming tea, a 100% natural green tea, warms esophagi; chocolate-mint tea is reminiscent of an after-dinner-duel mint. Between sips, couples share buttery scones paired with cheeses, jam, and cream. Digits delight at the sight of finger sandwiches, and teeth sink like a defeated battleship into various sweets and fruits. Customers can venture outside during warm weather to sip drinks on the patio, which offers views of Frenchman's Bay Village and the sun's daily strobe-light shows. Call to make reservations for Hy Tea Time, which is offered at any time.

Q&A with the Owner

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?

Cupcakes are baked daily in small batches and frosted when ordered.

D?cor can say a lot about the type of food a restaurant serves. How does your d?cor inform or reflect your culinary practice?

Our d?cor is clean, simple, and minimalistic because we're an old-school caf?-style establishment. This keeps the focus on our cupcakes, which we consider edible works of art.

In your own words, how would you describe your menu?

The perfect fusion of basic and innovative flavours.

Saint Cinnamon slings sweet, sticky, swirled sustenance into Toronto's taste portals with its world-famous cinnamon rolls, made in full view of the customers. Savour the flavour of piping-hot pastries with a dozen of Saint Cinnamon's Little Cinns—smaller than the bakery's regular-sized rolls but just as delicious and much easier to shove into the pockets of gym shorts for mid-marathon snacking. Customers with wheat allergies or gluten-rejection syndrome can redeem their Groupon for $14.99 worth of spelt or gluten-free baked goods at Saint Cinnamon's Pickering location only.
