What You'll Get
Pilots are the cowboys of the air, roaming the wide-open skies and herding children’s runaway balloons. Giddy up, up, and away with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $79 for a 30-minute flight simulation for up to two people (a $119 value)
- $219 a 30-minute flight simulation plus a 35-minute flight for one and up to one guest over the Bay Area in a Cessna Skyhawk 172SP (a $399 value)
Simulated flights let up to two people with no previous flying experience try out advanced maneuvers such as takeoff and landing. Led by an FAA-certified instructor, lessons begin with a simulated flight before instructors accompany students on an actual flight, where pupils fly a Cessna Skyhawk between takeoff and landing.

An additional fee applies if more than one participant wishes to take control of the flight. A third person—weight permitting—may tag along on the Bay Area flight option for an additional $49.

About Advanced Flyers
Advanced Flyers' experienced flight instructors defy gravity while teaching students to pilot aircraft and giving passive passengers birds'-eye views of the Bay Area. Its FAA-approved Redbird FMX-1000 simulator lets pupils log time toward ATP certificates while practicing foundational skills and more advanced maneuvers necessary during bad weather, engine failure, or rabid-hummingbird attacks. Students who pursue private pilot licenses can eventually navigate aboveground in rental griffins from Advanced Flyers' well maintained fleet.
