Andy Warhol Revisited
Andy Warhol saw the world as a consumerist’s playground filled with mass-produced objects and images that equalized everyone, rich or poor. These icons of 20th-century life, from soup cans to soda pop, became even more iconic when rendered (and sometimes mass-produced) by the legendary pop artist. But even though the Pope of Pop sought to eliminate any trace of his hand in the production of his works, each is undeniably his. During the interactive Andy Warhol Revisited exhibit, Revolver Gallery explores the artist’s technique and visual vocabulary through more than 120 paintings, prints, and sculptures from its rotating collection. Pieces range from portraits of objects to a gallery of celebrities, including Marilyn Monroe, all of which demonstrate the artist’s style and simplicity.
