Essentially, the Redline program is CrossFit without the heavy weights. Trainers incorporate a mix of cardio conditioning with basic resistance training to create varied, hour-long workouts to help burn fat, lose weight and tone lean muscles.
Left Coast CrossFit
CrossFit has been called the opposite of specialization. A weightlifter may have lots of strength but little endurance, whereas a marathon runner may have just the opposite. At Left Coast CrossFit, exercisers strive for both and then some, working to improve performance across a full range of 10 different physical attributes, from flexibility and speed to coordination and accuracy. They do so by practicing functional movements at a high intensity and focusing on areas of weakness—for example, endurance for a person who hasn't run in a long time, or coordination for a marionette. For this reason, every exercise is scalable, meaning it can be adjusted for load, duration, or reps to suit virtually any fitness level and age.
