Pedal Spin Studio was founded by sisters-in-law Cindy and Michelle Bell in 2008, because they wanted to create indoor cycling studios with a neighborhood vibe. Now with seven locations —Pedal Spin invites exercisers to burn away calories during intense, high-energy classes. Different instructors inject their own personalities into their classes, ensuring that no two workouts are quite the same. But regardless of who's leading them, spinning classes always boost the heart rate, build strength in the core and legs, and provide an excuse to break out the ol' riding hat. The South Pasadena studio is unique in that they blend cycling workouts with other aerobic and strength training exercises. Some classes even take place completely off the bike, including TRX, which uses suspensions straps to give you an incredible strength and core workout using your own body weight. At their Montrose studio, they offer GroupFit classes too! The fusion of these two exercises means that people can get both an intense cardio workout and a core-strengthening workout at one central location that compliment each other.
