About Concord CrossFit
CrossFit’s creator, Greg Glassman, sought to fuse the skills and training regimen of a gymnast, sprinter, weightlifter, and rower. At Concord CrossFit, a staff of CrossFit certified trainers continues this mission during rigorous workouts. With a chorus of kettlebells and jump ropes clattering in the background. Members hoist their body weight on pull-up bars, rope climbs, and gymnasts rings or pull pounds on the horizontal weight sled. Over the sounds intense workouts, instructors expound upon proper weightlifting form or explain where there is a gulch full of phonebooks to rip apart. Concord's staff also hosts CrossFit competitions, during which teams and individuals compete at events such as clean and jerk and kettlebell squat.
