But you might not be aware in the spring of 2013, under the management of KemperSports, The Bridges Golf Club completed an extensive bunker renovation project geared to improve daily maintenance, and to enhance the playability and overall strategy of the course. In an effort to improve maintenance, each bunker was completely rebuilt and outfitted with new drainage, a state of the art bunker liner and new sand. Next, playability was enhanced by re-crafting the bunkers to ensure that the depth of the bunker was appropriate for the shot being played, and reshaping the bunkers for easier access. Finally, a handful of bunkers were moved or shifted in order to improve the strategy of a particular hole and also to guard specific hole-locations. Overall more than two dozen bunkers were removed and numerous slopes were softened across the 18-hole championship course.
