Shido Martial Arts

Inside Shido Martial Arts' sprawling 14,000-square-foot fitness facility, instructors guide children as young as 4 and older than 13 through several international martial-arts programs. As they elucidate the offensive and defensive moves of tae kwon do, muay thai kickboxing, no-gi, and Brazilian jujitsu in age-appropriate classes, instructors work to cultivate discipline and greater self-esteem in their young students. Each day's schedule may lead students to the rows of punching bags to test their strikes, or focus on technique development in open sparring and practice areas. To keep guests limber, the gym also conducts all-ages yoga classes.
