IM=X Pilates

IM=X Pilates grew from the seeds of Elyse McNergney’s experience: her master’s degrees in movement science and exercise physiology, her certifications in the Pilates method and the Alexander Technique, and her experience rehabilitating athletes who thought they could tackle a goal post. Drawing from this knowledge, she devised a series of innovative resistance and cardio workouts that challenge the body while still strengthening the core in traditional Pilates fashion. This method has been lauded by many press outlets, including Self magazine, which says it will “strengthen the muscles surrounding your hips and lower spine . . . probably the most important thing you can do to make your stomach look flatter.” Alongside its Pilates focus, the studio also hosts sessions inspired by yoga, ballet barre, and indoor cycling.

Wow what a great pilates workout. Did some floor work followed by invigorating reformer exercise. Love the jumping and psoas stretches at the finale! Sara is an excellent instructor and extemely attentive. The Reformers are State of the Art and easy to navigate. I like this place.
