Designed with extra care to preserve the natural beauty of the area, Highland Creek Golf Club winds through towering trees and meandering creeks. The neighboring community surrounding the course perimeter provides an upscale backdrop to the well-manicured course and is set well back to offer plenty of open space. Queen City Golf PassportThe course features Bent grass greens, Bermuda fairways, four sets of tees measuring from 5,080 to over 7,000 yards, 67 bunkers and water features on 11 holes. Highland Creek offers all golfers an enjoyable round. The par 4, 9th hole calls for a very precise tee shot to a narrow fairway. Any miss-hit, shot left, will find the creek and can definitely add up to a big number. Although the layout may be challenging, it is set amidst some of the most picturesque golf holes in Charlotte. Charles T. Myers Golf Course is located on the former Harrisburg Road Landfill operated by Mecklenburg County at this location until 1994. The facility bears the name of County Commissioner Charles T. Myers, who during his tenure in 1969-1970, led the initiative to mark the final use of this land a public golf course. His commitment and leadership is responsible for the existence of this beautiful public property enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year. In 1997 the facility expanded from it`s original 9-holes to 18-holes. The front 9-holes were built in 1986. Charles T. Myers GC does about 40,000 rounds annually most of which comes from golfers that live in the neighborhood surrounding the course.
