  • International Gymnastics Centre
Many of the customers who fill International Gymnastics Centre with flips and handsprings are little, but the center itself is enormous. Its 15,000 square feet contains state-of-the-art equipment including spring floors, a 40-foot track trampoline, and an in-ground training pit filled with more than 6,800 foam cubes. The youngest students have their own area equipped with mini trampolines, a child-size trapeze, and a rock-climbing wall for graduates of the pebble-climbing wall. Led by a coaching staff of world champions and a former Olympian, young athletes who make it onto International Gymnastics Centre's Junior Olympic team get to compete nationally.

  • Kaia Fit Natomas
Cris Santa Croce and her team of all-female coaches at Kaia Fit Natomas believe that the best personal fitness results are achieved through teamwork. In other words, each athlete needs a network that emotionally supports her and keeps her accountable, whether she's performing a sweat-inducing gym workout or taking an outdoor run on a frosty morning. The coaches live up to this aim by leading a full-body workout designed "for women, by women." Due in part to its team focus and accessibility to all skill levels, the Kaia method has been praised in a number of media outlets, including The Fox 40 Morning Show. The six-week BRIK boot camp forms the core of Kaia's fitness programs. Three times each year, its leader runs participants through a gauntlet of creative workouts in gymnastics, running, and weight-training, which she compliments with a seasonally focused meal plan. In between these sessions, the Core program combines cross-training workouts with yoga days and Saturday-morning runs in a local park. The I Kan Tri program, on the other hand, takes a more focused approach with triathlon training in which coaches guide their students through a circuit of cycling, swimming, and running, culminating in a sprint or full-length event.

  • Kaia Fit - Fair Oaks
Kaia Fit's foundational workouts?cleverly dubbed "Briks"?are a little different from the typical gym class. First of all, rather than drop-in classes, they're a six-week commitment. The idea behind that? Having the same set of classmates every week helps build a sense of team spirit and community, much like going through all your workouts as part of a human pyramid. But they share the same mission as all of Kaia's fitness classes: to be unpredictable. The women's fitness center was founded on the simple premise that routine is the enemy of muscle growth and weight loss. Hence their emphasis on workouts that change constantly, preventing fitness plateaus. They also offer five-week core sessions, which focus on maintaining strength and endurance, building upon the Brik program. Beyond these sessions, they also offer suspension training and triathlon training.
