What You'll Get
Vegetables are the antizombie, rising out of the ground to demand we devour their artichoke hearts and cauliflower brains. Hunt down some new green friends with today's Groupon: for $16, you get a two healthy organic entrees at Tree Huggers Café in Berea (up to a $36 value).
The environmentally conscious chefs at Tree Huggers Café unite local organic ingredients to form a healthy menu that refuses to contribute to Mother Nature's receding hairline. Their eco-friendly fare comes free of hormones, pesticides, and plastic fruit, and includes a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. Homemade crab cakes rest atop a bed of greens covered with a blanket of roasted red pepper sauce; stuffed butternut squash lazes on a couch of mushroom risotto. Take hearty bites of the asparagus-cheddar quiche with fresh dill-shallot sauce, or match your appetite against the gluten-free sweet-potato-quinoa burger topped with spicy honey mustard and wedged inside a pretzel roll. Each entree comes with a salad or homemade soup and bread. Tree Huggers Café tries to reduce its carbon footprint by using compostable containers, blowing kisses to clouds, and outfitting the café's interior in recycled décor.
