The South has a deep love for athletics, and that’s no different in North Carolina—some of the best Charlotte activities revolve around the city’s sports venues. Visitors can cheer on the newly rechristened Charlotte Hornets at the Time Warner Cable Arena, or watch stock cars zoom around the track at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Other Charlotte events are more about the spotlight than the stadium lights, however.
