Early vegans were faced with the challenge of lassoing an apple off a tree or coaxing a corncob into a bear trap. Hunt a healthy harvest the easy way with today's Groupon: for $7, you get $15 worth of raw and cooked vegan fare at Everlasting Life Cafe. Everlasting Life serves 100% organic, raw, and vegan dishes in a chic, elegant environment. The menu changes daily, offering meat-free foodies a hearty handful of hot, rotating entrees such as country fried chicken, veggie lasagna, and ginger-spiced tofu ($4.95), as well as sundry delicious sides dishes ($3.30 for 8 oz.). Snack on faux fowl or fake steak sandwiches ($5.50–$6.50) while sipping on a fresh fruit smoothie ($3.85–$6.60) or juice ($3.99–$6.99), such as the Tropical Twist—a concoction of carrot, apple, pineapple, and ginger named after a Chubby Checker B-side. If masticating monotony sets in, diners can seek entertainment from one of Everlasting Life's live events or can take a break to gossip about the weather man.

The Groupon Guide to: The Running of the Bulls

When wild animals get loose in our cities, they are immediately captured by animal rescue squads and returned to the wild. Spain, on the other hand, has channeled its wild bull epidemic into twice-weekly runnings. Here's a guide to participating:

Run Quickly: Most participants simply stand in one place hoping the bulls will gore them with their lucky horns, but bulls love a challenge. To increase your chances of being mauled by a bull's gold-filled horns, run wildly while dressed like the bulls' natural prey: an elephant. Using roller skates to increase your speed is considered cheating unless the bulls are also wearing them.

Avoid the Color Red: Bulls, like donkeys and children, are sterile. The romantic color enrages them because it reminds them that they are unable to mate with one another. Avoid other popular colors such as blue or yellow (or any combination of blue, yellow, and red), because bulls are colorblind and will mistake these hues for the hated red.

Embrace the Bull Within: Spain's most successful matadors don't defeat their bulls using swords, larger swords, or a series of large swords—they defeat them using the "sword" of empathy and then finish them off with nonmetaphorical swords just for show. Sharpen your blade by pondering the same question the bulls face every day: "Where am I?"
